Just toured the Sage Bluff Farm Worker housing project outside Wenatchee. These pods can house 6 people with cooking facilities, food storage and indoor/outdoor eating areas. They may stay there 3 to 6 months. Workers from Mexico are here to earn money to support their families. Some are saving to build homes in Mexico. Workers from the H2A program as well as domestic workers can stay there. Growers repeatedly tell me their most important issue right now is labor. This project is operated by the Washington Growers League.
